Home sweet home

In typical blog fashion, it's been a while since I've made a decent update. The main reason for this is that I'm now home, my Melbourne life as busy as ever, and my travels are all but finished. In my last fortnight, I went to Rwanda, Uganda and then Kenya. All were very different to each other and I stayed in some amazing cities, met some great people and continued to see ways of life that are totally different to mine.

As things stand, Uni has commandeered my life back in Melbourne and so I'm going to refrain from going into my last leg at this point in time. Rather, I think I will write lengthily about Africa in the near future - away from my blog. The piece I want to write will deal with what it was like to swap my Melbourne life for my Ghana life. Additionally, I plan to explore the pros and cons of volunteering overseas, asking questions like "Is it really worth it?" and "What is the best way to go about it?" and more centrally, "In opening your mind and life up to a less fortunate part of the world such as Africa, is opting for a volunteering stint an easy way out, morally speaking?"

No idea when I will write it - only that I will - and so until next time, thank you for visiting!
